PRODUCT CARE

SHEETS, LINENS AND DUVET COVERS

Important washing and caring methods for Egyptian cotton, natural bamboo and organic cotton sheets and duvet covers: With proper care, these items can provide years of comfort. But if not cared for properly, they can develop a rough texture and may shorten life span. Please wash them alone, do not wash and dry sheets with any other items. Machine wash, cold water, gentle cycle. No bleach and mild soap. Drying: Hang to dry. If using a dryer, best is to use air cycle, no heat or dryer safe on low setting. Do not overheat, remove them immediately when they are still a little damp as this helps to prevent wrinkling. Fluff them out on the bed for a few minutes to let them relax before folding. Iron as needed on low setting, never use steam on bamboo sheets. Jacquard or delicate items like silk sheets are recommended dry cleaning only.

DOWN DUVET AND DOWN PILLOW

Prior to use: To activate (fluff up) the down and feather, shake your duvet and pillow for a few moments. Full lofting of the down will usually occur within 24-48 hours. Your body warmth will enable it to lift even more.

Down duvets and pillows should be aired outside in cool weather before use to eliminate any odors from the natural product as well as on yearly basis after first use. Airing your duvet helps to maintain its freshness, fluffiness, and insulating qualities. This method has been used in Europe for hundreds of years. Make sure you always use a duvet cover to protect your duvet and pillow protector for the pillow. This protects your investment and helps to prevent the build-up of bed bugs and allergens in your new bedding. If possible, try to use a 100% natural cotton or bamboo duvet cover and protector as this will allow your duvet and pillow to breath better.

We recommend to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and most of them recommend dry cleaning only. Spot cleaning is fine for small stains or accidents. Never wash your down duvet or pillows as it can cause leaks and will void your warranty, dry cleaning only.
